Doing Death Different

Living Well and Leaving Better

Welcome to Doing Death Different: Living Well and Leaving Better

We live in a culture that avoids talking about death—and we pay a price for that silence. Too often, we wait until a crisis to make crucial decisions, leaving loved ones overwhelmed and missing the opportunity to shape an end-of-life experience that truly reflects who we are.

At Doing Death Different, we believe that facing mortality isn’t about fear—it’s about freedom. By embracing these conversations now, we can make informed choices, ease the burden on those we love, and ultimately live more fully in the present.

Here, you’ll find resources, events, and a supportive community to help you get your affairs in order—no matter your age. Join us in rethinking what it means to prepare for death, so we can all live (and leave) better.

About

My name is Molly Peebles

Molly brings a unique blend of experience to this space. As a former birth doula, she supported clients through the transformative journey of bringing new life into the world. When her close friend was diagnosed with brain cancer, Molly transitioned those skills to provide compassionate care through her friend’s illness and passing. Serving as the Executor of her friend’s estate ignited her passion for preplanning and preparedness. Now, Molly helps people to preplan their funeral and cemetery arrangements, supports families who have just experienced a loss, and she brings educational opportunities to the community through Doing Death Different.

Confronting mortality takes courage, but these essential conversations lighten the burden on those we leave behind. By planning ahead, we can offer a legacy of love and care—and experience the peace of mind that comes with it.
